I created a topic anonymously, then logged in using openID to comment. After being ushered to my openID provider, the system never completed.

Bud, I think this is a redirection issue within MT. After you login, MT thinks that you were on an "entry", and tries to determine what the URL for that entry should be. Because the topic is not an entry, it guessing wrong, and sends you to a non-existent page (which may have appeared like a blank screen). I have aworked around this is a few places, but I need to address the "redirect after login" case. Thanks for the report.

Note that the OpenID login did complete, but the redirection was less than ideal. Your topic above was successfully posted using your OpenID.

Okay, I think that redirect after login issue has been fixed. You should now be redirected to the topic you were reading when you clicked the sign in link.
