The Library Rocks: Folklore Urbano • the Mariachi Academy of New York (Free!)Folklore Urbano combines the best Colombian roots music with jazz and world beat rhythms. Pablo Mayor and Cesar Vuksic are members of the faculty at the Brooklyn-Queens Conservatory of Music. Mr. Mayor teaches piano and arranging for the Diploma Division at the Conservatory’s Queens campus. Mr. Vuksic, based at the Brooklyn campus, teaches piano and accompanies the Conservatory Chorale and two public school choruses as part of the Conservatory’s Music Partners outreach initiative.
