How does Mark come up with these ideas for plugins? Do people ask specifically for them, or does he just dream them up?

Not dreams

Mostly I come up with them because they are things I want to do myself, but many features are suggested by others.

I have been using MT as a forum since 2003 (on MT 3.2) and only recently packaged everything up into a plugin (well, I mostly re-wrote from the ground up).

Because Marc is smart. I wish more people were as interested as him in making Movable Type a better product.

Does this plugin have the ability to quote from previous thread entries and attribute the author, whether by using inline tags or another method?
