Battery Park City Authority opens their season at one of New York’s most visually stunning settings with an elegant evening of opera al fresco. Soprano Leah Partridge and tenor Norman Reinhardt delight with arias from the popular to the obscure. American soprano Leah Partridge has received consistent praise for her virtuosic technique and dramatic insight. She has made some of the great bel canto roles her own, and her career already includes many performances of the title role in Lucia di Lammermoor, Violetta in La Traviata, and Gilda in Rigoletto. In the 2007-08 season Leah Partridge made her Metropolitan Opera debut singing the First Niece in a new production of Britten’s Peter Grimes. A graduate of the Houston Grand Opera Studio, American tenor Norman Reinhardt has had a successful start to his career.
